THE LIGHT THAT CAN BE SET TO THE INDIVIDUAL CIRCADIAN CYCLE OF THE USER.
 

yellow developed and designed an innovative range of lamps – the LUCTRA series - for DURABLE. An interdisciplinary team of designers, scientists and experts made use of the latest findings about the impact of light and transferred them into a concept.
The LUCTRA range of lamps by DURABLE offers the first workplace lamp with light that adapts individually to the diurnal rhythm of the user. The lamp simulates the natural daylight cycle, which fosters a sense of wellbeing and boosts concentration.

All lamps are equipped with the intelligent VITACORE -electronic system, which offers users intuitive adjustment of brightness and colour by use of the touch panel or by app. 
Uniform illumination, optimum light output, low energy consumption and virtually unlimited life are some of the many features of LUCTRA. Minimalist design, high-grade materials and a perfect finish set the LUCTRA series apart.

LUCTRA means "radiant lighting" and "transformation", both terms embody the inherent competencies of the brand LUCTRA. The name of the lamp is composed of the two words LUC ( "LUX“, in latin "light") and TRA (in latin "transformation“). PERFECT DAY LIGHT –  signifies the core message of this brand. 

LUCTRA's competence of offering perfect quality-light all-day long allows for an exclusive and comfortable working environment and enables the user to work efficiently and cognitively "refreshed". The highly innovative shape of LUCTRA also fostered both idea and implementation of further elaborate appliances and "special" functions" (through an external cooperation).

PASSAGEN 2015, Cologne | Ventura Lambrate, Milan Design Week 2015

As part of the Passagen exhibition in Cologne and at the Ventura Lambrate (Milan Design Week 2015) yellow created, designed and implemented a temporary showroom.

Together with the award-winning LUCTRA lighting system by DURABLE, the light installation "PERFECT DAY LIGHT' was presented for the first time. The installation is an experimental analogy which imparts LUCTRA-specific qualities and enables to become in touch with light and LED-technology through playful means.

800 plastic buckets together with LEDs were transformed into an iconically large display with novel haptics. 
Within the context of a social event, as a unique and holistic experience for all senses (sound, light and decor), the light installation "PERFECT DAY LIGHT" stands for a synthesis between the digital and the analogue world.

The commercial launch of the LUCTRA lighting series by DURABLE included a tradeshow presentation which combined perfect branding together with flexible input: by means of a modular walling system, specific content-related 'clusters' are created within the booth.

By means of beaming, large images which highlight the motherbrand DURABLE and the concept of the brand LUCTRA and high-tech information are displayed on the walls.

 

A modular POS system was developed to emphasise the sophisticated design of the lamp and the brand LUCTRA. The system can be used at trade fairs and be inherently transformed into a presentation tool.   

It will be available in the coming year among other shows at the Furniture Fair in Stockholm and at the Paperworld in Frankfurt.
