The LAUNCH CAMPAIGN, designed by yellow too, accompanied the start of the new knowledge management system of the DIHK. The aim was to motivate employees to use the online platform and thus to achieve a high level of acceptance of the digital work environment. We developed an unusual mailing format that was sent to every employee of all the IHKs in Germany. Parallel a modern micro-site explains the benefits of the system by visually appealing and highly interactive illustrations .
On 18th of February, Daikin Japan held a press conference in Tokyo for the upcoming launch of the Daikin UX air-conditioning system to the japanese market. Alexander Schlag, chief designer and CEO of yellow design gmbh, made a presentation to the invited guests and press, and with Kyoko Tanaka, associate designer, held interviews and answered their manyfold questions over this project’s conception and design.
Set to happen on the 1st of October 2016 in Japan, the Daikin UX launch will soon be followed in other countries as well.

yellow presented "PERFECT DAY LIGHT" at the Milan Design Week 2015.
Presented within the Ventura Lambrate exhibition the light installation with more than 18.000 visitors proved to be a real crowd puller and showcased the influence of biological light.
In cooperation with DURABLE®, among the multiple award-winning LED-lights by LUCTRA®, an innovative productline which combines perfect working light with mobility aspects was introduced.
The positive feedback at the event and the myriad of ‚likes’ in social media completely swept us off our feet!

PERFECT DAY LIGHT video
In cooperation with BRITA, the leading expert in drinking water optimisation, yellow has created, designed and developed the innovative BRITA Fill&Serve lifestyle-carafe.
yellow together with BRITA pioneered a new approach with the design of the Fill&Serve Water Filter Carafe and received the red dot award Product Design 2015 (Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, Essen).
This innovative product has been developed to fulfil consumer’s demands and to bring water filtration out of the kitchen on the table and now offer consumers a wide range of uses in a completely new environment.
The carafe is always at hand, both at home and in the office, and ensures that drinking water is a real pleasure. It is simply and conveniently filled from the tap and offers an environment-friendly alternative to bottled water.
The built-in activated carbon filter (BRITA Filter Disc-Technology) reliably reduces chlorine and other taste impairing substances and guarantees fresh drinking water with best-possible taste.
As a part of Passagen 2015, yellow concepted, designed and realized a temporary showroom about "Light". Next to the award-winning LUCTRA® lighting series, the light installation "PERFECT DAY LIGHT" was shown for the first time. It creates a playful experience of the innovatory power of light and LED-technology and serves as an experimental analogy of the specific qualities of LUCTRA®.
800 industrial containers combined with LEDs were transformed into a display of astonishing size and haptics.
Within the context of a social event, as a holistic experience of sound, light and space, the light installation "PERFECT DAY LIGHT" represents the synthesis of the digital and analog world.
For the Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection yellow designed the corporate design for the event series "360grad - Das Debatten- und Meinungsforum im BMJV".
Together with Daikin, Japanese provider of high-quality air conditioning solutions, yellow design has developed the innovative Daikin Emura air conditioner. The product has been exclusively designed for the European market and equipped with cutting-edge features. Up to now, it has already received four major international design awards: the „red dot award: Product Design 2014“(Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, Essen), the „Focus Open 2014 Silver“ (Design Center Baden-Württemberg, Stuttgart), a German Design Award 2015 Special Mention (German Design Council, Frankfurt am Main), and a Good Design Award Japan 2014 (Japan Institute of Design Promotion, Tokyo).
„In the development, the focus wasn’t only on interior design and living culture, but also on the question of how to adapt the product best to the specific needs of European users. The product semantics reflect the functionality of the Emura product: most importantly the careful treatment of air, which represents the expertise of Daikin and at the same time is of importancy for the brand,“says Alexander Schlag, managing director of yellow design gmbh.
Thus, the appliance fully meets the technical and estetical requirements and the needs of a European target group. The Daikin Emura convinces with a highly intelligent climate technology, which is much more energy efficient than conventional air conditioning systems.
With the Emura, yellow design and Daikin show that modern air conditioners not only cool and heat in a functional and efficient way, but also make a contribution to the interior design. To this the jury of the red dot award states: „The air conditioner Daikin Emura convinces with its reduced design appearance and its restrained elegancy.”
yellow designed nine interactive exhibits for the BMW trade show appearance at this years Salon de l'automobile in Paris.
This included the EfficientDynamics exhibit which by means of a didactic mixture of original car components and virtual interaction showed the specific innovations of three exemplary BMW car models.
Another exhibit showed the ConnectedDrive functioning in real-time via live transfer out of the displayed BMW 520 d.
yellow redesigned the „Leading and Learning Workshop“ for BMW employees in cooperation with BMW Motorcycle in Berlin. Contents of the „New Leadership Platform“ in Munich – which was created by yellow as well in 2013 – were adapted and revised.
The didactic concept within the space puts the interactive transfer of knowledge in focus. The educational focus is based on easy-to-understand principles such as analog votings, which can be experienced by three-dimensional exhibits.
yellow developed and designed an innovative range of lamps – the LUCTRA® series - for DURABLE. An interdisziplinary team of designers, scientists and experts in light took the latest findings about the impact of light and transferred them into a concept.
Therefore LUCTRA® is the first workplace lamp with light that is able to adapt individually to the diurnal rhythm of the user. The lamp simulates the natural daylight cycle, which fosters a sense of wellbeing and boosts the users concentration.
Minimalist design, high-grade materials and a perfect finish set LUCTRA® apart.
The product was launched at the current ORGATEC trade-fair, where the lamps were presented to the public for the first time. The ORGATEC takes place from the 22nd to the 25th of October.

In addition to the Corporate Design development before, yellow has also designed the booth at the IFAT 2014 in Munich. We also design all graphical elements, animations and print products related to the fair appearance.
The new appearance caused increased attention during the show and was a great success.
