In 1973 in Pforzheim, Germany, Prof. Günter Horntrich founded the design office called “Team Industrieform” with a focus on product planning, design development and model construction. The office was expanded in 1985 to include industrial design, packaging and graphic design. The new scope of services attracts international corporations and institutions. To reflect its new orientation, the agency changes its name to “yellow design.”

In 1992, Prof. Günter Horntrich he received the professorship “Design & Ecology” at the University of Applied Sciences in Cologne. In Cologne he also founded the “yellow circle” agency, offering studies, concepts, lectures, seminars and competitions in the area of design. Services were expanded in 1995 to include industrial design, packaging, graphic design, and design management.

In 2004, Christian Horntrich and Marta Pasiek founded the “yellow too” offices in Berlin. Focusing on corporate design, digital media and interior design, the new offices perfectly complement the service spectrum of the “yellow” network.
